I feel like i'm on a bit of a regime at the moment. Before we get into the ordeal that is IVF and as someone who has always been partial to natural therapies, I decided to see a naturopath that specialises in infertility. A wonderful friend recommended one she is seeing.
So now i'm in the midst of it. So just in case anyone has wondered some of the many things that an infertile person goes through here is the current state of play:
* Daily multi-vitamin (that made me vomit the one time I took it without food!)
* Fish Oil 3 x a day
* Probiotic 2 x a day
* Herbal supplement 2 x a day
* Rubbing castor oil on tummy every night
* No soda, especially diet coke (boo)
* Daily temperature taking
* Exercising at least 4 x a week
* Eating whole unprocessed foods (which we should do any way)
It doesn't seem like much but whenever I talk about it I think 'geez that's a list'. I'm still on the fence with the castor oil. Every time I use I think "this is bollocks, it better work". Literally that's what I think every time.
So is there anything you do because a doctor (etc) told you to but you don't understand any real benefit to it? I'm taking the faith that this lady knows what she is doing and it REALLY can't hurt when our only other option is IVF and that stuff is expensive, yo! So go on, tell me yours.
