* A fishing tour guide (pictured above) braved crocodile infested waters to save a drowning man after a car was swept into waters, where at least eight crocodiles had been seen that day.
* A man has been run over while lying on the road on the South Western Highway in Newlands, WA.
* Serious bushfires continue to blaze across the country
* After the Redland City Council (QLD) axed it's state roadside maintenance program this year, grass has grown to waist height, causing a fire risk.
*Ants have invaded homes in Tasmania due to the hot, dry weather in recent weeks. Local stores have sold out of products, with some residents even finding ants in their beds.
