Can you tell i'm struggling to record our week in New York quickly? One of my most favourite things of the whole week was The Metropolitan Museum of Art. I could have spent 3 days just in the Met.
It's really hard to sum up our visit to The Met in just one post - we took SO many photos! We looked through the ancient roman sculptures gallery and then headed down to the cafeteria for some lunch. (
note to you: eat before you go as the cafeteria isn't nice and cost a bomb - but I was starving so we ate it and got back to perusing the museum).
My favourite thing (by far!) was the Impressionist galleries - particularly the whole room that was full of paintings by Monet. I am a complete dork but I loved seeing these paintings so much I was all teary. I think poor Tom didn't know what to do!
Going to New York and you only have one day to visit a museum? Make it the Met! There is something for everyone!
Also that day we visited Grand Central Station, The Rockefeller Centre Observation Deck, Times Square (by night!) and had BBQ for dinner - next post!
