My mum always said I was born 30 and often calls me an old soul. This was since I was a little kid. Like when I was about 6 I turned up my nose in disgust at the dinner placed before me of sandwiches, asking where the real cooked dinner was. At about 16, I preferred staying home and baking cookies for people than sneaking out to clubs.
Now, at 28 I'm a nana-crafter and prefer the smooth / easy-listening radio station. I crochet, sew and cross-stitch and this is the song i've been listening to all week:
No matter where I am this song just makes me want to slow dance. Smooth is the only way to describe it. I am transformed into a dance hall in the 1950's, dancing with my beau. Or at our wedding, excitedly smiling at each other, thinking about how a day couldn't be any better than the one we'd just shared. It's a song I cook to at the end of a hard day, feeling grateful for feeling a love like they are singing about.
So what is your song of this week? Is there a song that's stuck in your head or you can't stop singing? Let me know in the comments. Happy Weekend!
